Paul had a dream to go to Rome. As he followed God, his dream was fulfilled in ways far beyond what he could have imagined.

Paul was a leader. Leaders should be like a thermostat, not a thermometer. Thermostats regulate the temperature of the room. Nothing about their circumstance had changed, but Paul’s words and actions encouraged them.

Storms can’t be avoided in life, but God gives us strength to overcome. Our maturity is revealed through the struggle.

The devil is your enemy. He wants you to think that you are alone, that your situation is unique, that no one else has ever faced what you are going through. Paul wasn’t alone through the storms of his life. Neither are you.

Acts 26:16 reveals Paul’s purpose as well as our own: “But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and of what I will reveal to you.” This is your purpose: Be a servant. Be a witness.

It’s not methods that are going to change people’s lives. Only Jesus can do that. Be bold in sharing who He is and what he has done in your life.

The world won’t like it when you start talking about and living like Jesus. Religious people will judge you, even hate you, because you won’t fit in with their culture. Listen to God. Be faithful to him as he guides you.

Felix is next to Judas with the amount of chances he had to accept Jesus, but he still rejected God. Even though Paul was the one in chains, Felix was the one bound. Don’t miss opportunities to love God and love people.

Many times people are too concerned with being right. We focus so much on the point we are trying to make, that we stop listening to anyone who doesn’t side with us.
