He’s God and we’re not.

There is only one God and he is the creator of everything. We’re made in His image, which means we’re like him in many ways, except that he’s God and we’re not. He is perfect and we are not. He is loving and desires a relationship with us. He allows us the freedom to choose whether we want to pursue him or not. Our freedom of choice either moves us closer to God and his purpose for our lives or away from him. Making choices that separate us from God is called sin. We all sin at times and because we’re human we will continue to do so. The amazing thing is that God knows this and continues to love and passionately pursue a relationship with us.

Love is an action! God showed us his great love by sending his only son Jesus to die so that we could live. Jesus lived a perfect life and was the only person who could take our place. The cost of our sin was separation from God – spiritual death. Jesus died so that we would never have to be separated from God’s love. This gift of love is what the bible calls grace. This grace is available to anyone who is willing to receive it. If you choose him you begin the new adventure of a relationship with God which is what 27 is all about.

My faith, my family, my friends. It’s personal.
